Annual Johnstown Marathon
The Johnstown YMCA Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying event. It is held on the first Sunday in October. A very scenic, colorful and challenging course through the Greater Johnstown area and its surrounding communities. Race begins at the Johnstown Incline Plane Area and finishes at Johnstown's Point Stadium. It begins at 9:00 a.m. near the Westmont Grove (Westmont Recreation Building) on Edgehill Drive. Competition includes relay teams, adaptive bikes and wheelchairs.
