Annual Johnstown Marathon
Relay Teams
Relay Teams
Teams consisting of four runners will have the opportunity to complete the Marathon distance in an “Ekidenstyle” relay in either the Marathon or 10K Corporate, or Marathon or 10K Team categories. Team categories will be not be divided by age groups.
Relay Team Registration
All team members must be individually registered. Entry deadline is September 15, for Corporate Relays and October 2 for other team entries.
Relay Team Scoring
Each official team total elapsed time will determine the winners. In the event of a tie, the time of the first runner will determine the overall team winner.
Relay Team Captains Information
All teams are strongly advised to send a representative to the packet pick-up at the Pre-Race Dinner on Saturday, October 2, to meet with the Race Director regarding question about the relay event.
Awards
First Place teams in each category will receive a traveling trophy to display at their business, school or home.
Relay Exchange Zones
Team members are responsible for their own transportation to exchange zones.

- Leg 1 Exchange Zone
At the Convenience Store on Fairfield and Strayer - Leg 2 Exchange Zone
At the intersection of Route 56 and Route 711. - Leg 3 Exchange Zone
At the old mill location on Cooper Avenue, Tanneryville - Leg 4 Exchange Zone
At the old mill to the Point Stadium Finish Line
10K Relay
- Leg 1 Exchange Zone
At the end of Iron Street at Cooper Avenue. - Leg 2 Exchange Zone
At the old Wendy's location on Broad Street. - Leg 3 Exchange Zone
At Washington and Roosevelt Boulevard. - Leg 4 Exchange Zone
Continue through town to the Point Stadium Finish Line.
