What is Couch to 5K?
Couch to 5K is a 6-week beginner-friendly walking / running program designed to help you progress from little to no running experience to confidently completing a 5K (3.1 miles). This structured plan gradually increases your walking / running endurance through three running sessions per week, focusing on incremental progression that ensures steady improvement while minimizing injury risk. There will be 2 optional group meetups every week. The final week includes a taper phase, allowing your body to recover and perform at its best on 5k day!
GOAL: At the end of the 6 weeks, we’ll be participating at the 2025 Que Classic 5K —no matter your pace! Our Couch to 5K program is strategically designed to lead up to the Que Classic on Saturday September 27, 2025.
*Registration for the 2025 Que Classic 5K is done independently and on your own if you choose to participate.
