Jr. NBA/ WNBA Basketball
As the official recreation youth leagues of the NBA and WNBA, Jr. NBA Leagues use professionally curated programming to create an elevated experience for youth athletes and foster their love for the game while developing their skills- on and off the court. Jr. NBA Leagues are inclusive and accessible, allowing participants to have safe and organized team play, active lifestyle programming, and life-skills development.
Jr. NBa Leagues encompass the core values of the game: teamwork, respect, determination, community, and most importantly, are designed for youth to have fun!!
All participants must sign the Jr. NBA Player Registration Agreement.
Volunteer Coaches are needed!!
Spring League

ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY.
The Greater Johnstown Community YMCA is excited to partner with the Jr.NBA to provide a community recreational basketball for boys and girls grades 3rd-6th grade. This six-week league will emphasize community play is great for beginners to intermediate players. Coaches will emphasize learning fundamentals and having fun while following the curriculum of the Jr.NBA.
A clinic to created teams will take place Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to Noon – please plan to attend.
League play will begin on the week of April 20th, 2024. The deadline to register is March 30, 2023. All players must register individually and they will be drafted to a Jr.NBA or WNBA team. The league will consist of 6 weeks of play plus a Jr. NBA Skills and Drills challenge. Games will be played on Saturdays starting at 9 a.m. and Sundays starting at 10 a.m.
*This league will be a draft process. The head coach and assistant coach’s kid will be on the same team. If age or grade-appropriate, siblings will be placed on the same team. NO TEAM REQUEST POLICY.
You must register by the deadline to ensure your child receives a Jr.NBA or WNBA jersey.
